ProxyMate Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains the privacy practices of ProxyMate.app and the ProxyMate app on the app store. The policy is to be adhered to everyone and all who use the ProxyMate website and app.

Information Collected

Once you give permissions about your locations, and you press "New Chat", that information is stored in Google's Firestore database with a generic Id. There is no way to tell your device from another user's device. Upon exit, "Leave", or close of the app your location is then removed from the Google Firestore database. The only data that is stored in the database we use is your location, and geohash. ProxyMate does use third-party services which may collect data that identifies you.

Video Chat

In order to video chat with another user it is required to use your location as it is a location based video chat service. The connection between the two devices is made by your IP address, which does not show to any other users within ProxyMate's app. This is required for any P2P video chat operations.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data which is used as a unique identifier. They are sent to your browser from websites you visit and are stored in your device's memory. ProxyMate does not use these "cookies" explicitly. Although, the services that are required for the app to function (third-party services) may use "cookies" in order to collect data to better their services. As a user, you have the option to accept or decline the cookies and made aware when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you refuse our cookies, you may not be able to user some functions in our service.

Usage of Personal Data

ProxyMate may use, or disclose any information ProxyMate obtains for any of the following business purposes:

To meet or fulfill the purposes you provided your data. For example, to use video chat service.

To help maintain the safety, security, and integrity of ProxyMate's services. For example, PorxyMate may use any information to protect against spammers, hackers, and others who pose harm to the app and services. ProxyMate may share data with services that moderate. ProxyMate may share data with law enforcement.

To analyize and make the app and services better. For example, ProxyMate may aggregate and/or de-identify information to produce statistical data such as the average amount of video chats at different times of the day.

To response to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulations.

To evaluate or make a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of ProxyMate's assets, such as part of a bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in that personal information held by ProxyMate about our services users is part of the assets transferred.

ProxyMate will not obtain any other forms of personal data or use your data already collected for anything different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes with giving you a notice.

Sharing Personal Information

ProxyMate may disclose your personal information to other third party sites for business purposes. When your information is disclosed, ProxyMate enters a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that personal data confidential and not use if for any purpose except performing the contract.

Sales of Personal Information

ProxyMate does not sell your personal information for money.

Your Rights and Choices

Access to Specific Information and Data Portability Rights

You have the right to request ProxyMate to disclose certain information to you about ProxyMate's collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. After ProxyMate receives and acknowledges your request, ProxyMate will disclose to you:

Your generic identifier through third party services, based on your verified location.

Our business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information.

Deletion Request Rights

You have the right to request ProxyMate to delete any of your personal information that ProxyMate collects and retains about you. When ProxyMate receives and confirms your verifiable request, ProxyMate will delete your personal information and generic identifier from our records, unless exception applies. ProxyMate does not delete personal information in response to a request that has been or may be provided to law enforcement or that is or may be used to protect the safety and security of users.

To exercise the access and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable request to use by either:

ProxyMate cannot respond or provide you with personal information if ProxyMate cannot verify                 your identity and authority to make the request and confirm that the personal information relates            to you. The verified request must:

Provide sufficient information that allows ProxyMate to reasonably verify you are the person whom ProxyMate collected personal information or an authorized representative.

ProxyMate will only use personal information provided in a verifiable request to verify requestor's             identity or authority to make the request.

Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows ProxyMate to properly understand, evaluate,         and respond to it.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

California Privacy Rights

California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code Section 1798.83) permits users of our site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for the direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to sid.tellavision@gmail.com with "ProxyMate-Privacy" in the subject line.

Notice Regarding Children

ProxyMate does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18 on the app or through any of our services. Tell A Vision LLC does not approve of children ages under 18 to use ProxyMate. If you are under the age of 18, do not give ProxyMate any personal information. We encourage parents and/or legal guardians to monitor their children's internet usage and help protect their privacy by instructing them never to provide personal information via the internet without parental or legal guardian permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under 18 has provided personal information to ProxyMate, please contact us at sid.tellavision@gmail.com with "ProxyMate-Privacy" in the subject line and ProxyMate will endeavor to delete or remove such information.

Security

ProxyMate takes reasonable measure to protect the limited personal information you submit to ProxyMate via the app and video chat services against loss, theft, and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification. However, ProxyMate cannot guarantee absolute security. No internet transmission of information is ever fully secure or error free. You should use caution whenever submitting information online and take special care in deciding the information you share with ProxyMate or another user.

Links to Other Sites

This Privacy Policy applies only to ProxyMate's site and video chat services. The site may contain links or buttons to third-party websites or services not owned or operated by ProxyMate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to privacy practices of those third-party links or buttons and ProxyMate does not endorse or review such. If you press on a link to another site, you should contact the third-party directly for information about its privacy practices.

Data Retention

ProxyMate generally retains personal information for 120 days. However, personal information may be retained for a longer period as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required or permitted by law. A saved generic identifier and location may be retained indefinitely - although upon exit, close, or "Leave" of the app or chat will remove your location from our database

International Data Transfer Notice

ProxyMate is located in the United States and processes all information in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States and use ProxyMate's app or services, you are transferring your information to ProxyMate in the United States.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

ProxyMate reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at ProxyMate's discretion and at any time. When ProxyMate makes changes to this Privacy Policy, ProxyMate will post the updated notice on the app including the date it is updated. Your continued use of ProxyMate's app and services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
